To raise money for Highland Hospice

4-hour Spinning Fundraiser

On Saturday 21st November I held a 4-hour spinning event at Invergordon Leisure centre. I say “I held” but it would have been impossible without the help of my fantastic spin instructor Lynn Humphries. She took it upon herself to organise the venue and the transport of the extra bikes required, and she encouraged everyone to sign up for the 4-hour spin challenge.

I also could not have done it if it wasn’t for Read more

Entering The Baxters River Ness 5K Fun Run was not my idea, Sam Oxby is the person to blame for that. And not only did she enter herself and.. Read More

150 days, 3 hours, 34 minutes and 49 seconds

Had an email from the challenge organisers today with a newsletter and some more challenge info, and an app for my phone which, among other things, counts down till the beginning of the challenge.

Quite daunting when you see the seconds and minutes disappear like that, it feels so soon!

I’m really excited for this challenge and my training is well underway. Now I just need to get on top of Read more…

Ready to start the training in earnest

When I put word out about my challenge, Mark of Orange Fox Bikes was quick to offer his support in the shape of a free bike service. I won’t be taking my own bike with me to Vietnam and Cambodia, there will be a bike provided for me when I get there, but my own bike which I will be training on before I head out was in dire need..
